A baby elephant in Botswana provided an adorable spectacle for a group of tourists when it stumbled and fell on its trunk while crossing a sandy road with its mother.
The heartwarming moment was captured on video during a safari in the Jao Concession in the Okavango Delta.
The newborn calf, still getting the hang of walking, took a sudden nosedive into the sand, much to the delight of the onlookers.
Despite weighing around 200 pounds at birth and being naturally clumsy, young elephants are quick learners and rely heavily on their mothers for guidance.
Unfazed by its fall, the little elephant immediately jumped back and hurried to rejoin its mother. The video, filmed in June, captures the laughter of the tourists as they witness the charming moment.
After the stumble, the calf quickly regained its balance and ran to its mother’s side. Soon after, a third, slightly older elephant joined them, and the trio curiously stared at the onlooking tourists, wrapping up the delightful encounter.
