The playful bull elephant was thrilled to cool off under the intense
heat, rolling around until he was completely covered from his trunk to his
toes.

While the elephant enjoyed his time at Kumana Dam in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, a curious group of impalas looked on, seemingly confused by the scene.
Cara Pring, a safari company founder from Sydney, Australia, captured the photos.

“I found it funny because it’s rare to see elephants lying down fully covered in mud,” Cara shared. “It was almost like he was having his little African spa day.”
