In a heartwarming and amusing moment captured on video, a young elephant named Namped couldn’t keep her balance and ended up sliding down a hill in Thailand.
The group was trekking through the mountainous region of Chiang Mai when Namped encountered a steep, grassy slope.
Despite her best efforts to stay on her feet, the young elephant lost her footing and began to slip. As she tried to regain her balance on the wet grass, she ultimately tumbled forward, her trunk hitting the ground first.
The video shows Namped rolling and sliding, all while the two riders on the adult bull elephant laugh at her adorable missteps.
The incident occurred at Maesa Elephant Camp, where Namped is part of the daily routine. Kusala Arkarn, a manager at the camp, reassured everyone that Namped was unharmed.
“This was just part of her daily exercise through the forest. She was a little off-balance that day, but she’s a sweet and healthy elephant. As she grows, she’ll get stronger and not fall like this anymore.”
Namped’s playful tumble has delighted viewers, offering a glimpse of the lighter side of life at the elephant camp.
