Elephants Block Traffic to Safely Escort Young Calf Across the Road (VIDEO)

 A herd of elephants in South Africa’s Kruger National Park demonstrated remarkable care for their young by halting traffic to ensure a baby elephant could cross the road safely.

In a video capturing this moment, an adult elephant takes the lead by positioning itself in the middle of the highway, acting as a temporary barrier for oncoming cars. Meanwhile, another adult guides the herd forward.

Closely following this leader, the young calf is surrounded protectively by the herd, moving across under close supervision before the remaining elephants make their way over.

After scanning for any additional elephants, the cameraman captures the moment when the herd finishes crossing and traffic resumes.
